CARE INSTRUCTIONS
  • No chemical peels

  • No laser treatment on or around the area

  • No Retin-A, retinol, steroids, vitamin E, Fish oil, Botox, tanning

  • Stop using your eyelash growth serum 2 months before PMU eyeliner appointment

4 weeks prior 

  • Stop waxing/threading the area, no sunburn skin 

  • Discontinue use of AHA (chemical exfoliation) skin care products close to the area to be tattooed

  • Lip procedures can cause cold sore exacerbation, highly recommend using antivirals 1 weeks prior and 1 week after procedure. If you have dry lips, start exfoliating and moisturizing the day before, this improves pigment retention.  

1 week prior

48 hours prior

  • No ​alcohol, aspirin, NSAIDS like Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve the night before the procedure. NO CAFFEINE the morning of. This will result in excessive bleeding, bruising, sensitivity, poor retention and needing more sessions, Tylenol is ok to take for pain 

The day of your appointment

  • Avoid working out

  • Exfoliate area using a gentle scrub to allow ink to penetrate better

  • For eyeliner appointment, please remove any eyelash extensions

  • Remove any corrective lenses before appointment

General Restrictions

  • Must be 18 year of age or older

  • Prone to Keloids/major scarring 

  • Pregnant or nursing

  • Any skin diseases or irritation around treatment area

  • Directly after Botox/fillers treatment. (must wait 3 weeks after and before botox treatment)

  • If currently using accutane or strong retinoids. (Must wait 4 months)

  • If you currently have sunburn or frostbite to the area

  • not immediately after waxing procedure

  • After a strong chemical peel

  • Must not be on Retin-A or Rentinols for 7 days prior to procedure and wait 45 days to restart treatment

  • If you currently have any respiratory illness symptoms, you must reschedule the appointment 

  • If your immune system is compromised or you are currently on chemotherapy or radiation treatment

  • If you are on blood thinners

Aftercare instructions

Eyebrow/Eye

  • Keep treated area clean for 7 full days following the procedure, aftercare ointment will be provided. Apply thin layer of ointment with Q-tip

  • After first 24 hours, area can be cleaned with cool water and mild antibacterial soap. Pat dry before reapplying ointment

  • Do not expose treated area to sun or a tanning booth for 2 days

  • No hot, steamy, full pressure showers, saunas, excessive sweating, jacuzzi, or swimming pools for first 14 days

  • Do not pick on scab as it is a normal part of healing and doing so will remove pigmentation

  • Do not touch procedure area with fingers to avoid infections

  • No make-up or skin care products on treated areas for 14 days

Lips

​

  • Do not touch, scrub, or pick your lips

  • Use ice to reduce swelling in the first 24 hoursFor first 4 hours after treatment, apply light pressure on lips with a clean tissue to remove any lymph fluid

  • Use ointment regularly to keep lips hydrated

  • Avoid sweaty workouts for 7 days

  • Avoid direct sunlight for 1 week

  • Drink through a straw, avoid spicy and salty foods for 72 hours

  • Do not apply make-up to lips for 2 weeks​

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR A TOUCH UP?

FOR BEST COLOR RETENTION A TOUCH UP IS REQUIRED 6-8 WEEKS AFTER YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT. 

After your first touch up, it is recommended to come back for a color boost between 12-18 months.
